Following our first successful 2 conferences in 2008, The Platforum are holding their third event on Thursday 21st May 2009. This will be followed by a champagne reception and platform industry party.
Highlights of this event include:
• Today’s environment (including an opening update address from the FSA)
• Portfolio construction (passive vs. active management; modelling tools in the spotlight; what do IFAs actually want / is it all becoming over-engineered?)
• “For Sale?”—opportunities in a depressed market (private equity deals/buying platforms/cash injections; IFA mergers, sales or acquisitions—experts walk through case studies and take questions)
• Latest players and trends in platforms (new entrants and provider developments)
• And back by popular demand “The Big Debate II”—we hear from a panel of IFAs who have not yet selected platforms and then give platform providers the floor—can they be won over? We also hear updates from our IFA panellists on The first Big Debate
