Designing your Corporate Responsibility strategy for the new Companies Act
Sorry — you have missed this conference.
However, you can still order the papers from the event (see below).
Conference Overview
Thursday January 17th 2008
Cavendish Conference Centre, Central London
From October 2007, the 2006 Companies Act requires all directors for the first time to have regard to the interests of their staff, their suppliers and customers, the community and the environment. For quoted companies a business review has to be produced which must set out the company's policies in relation to these interests and how effective these policies are. For larger companies, key performance indicators must be set to help analyse this non-financial information.
This conference brings together some of the most senior CR practitioners in the UK to provide insights on best practice in meeting these requirements. Crucially, it explores how the new rules can help your company gain a competitive edge and drive up performance. Our keynote speaker, the Rt Hon Stephen Timms MP, the Minister for CR, sets out the Government's case for enlightened shareholder value, the principle which underpins these new legal requirements.
